BCM112 A3 network report

Combined with the experience of the first network report and the teacher’s advice, I did not know much about network report at first, and I always thought it was a task that could be completed by one person. However, after careful consideration, I understood the tutor’s intention. A DA created by an individual is not comprehensive and perfect in terms of its observation and audience’s affection, so I need to communicate with other students more, because everyone is an observer, not a creator, and can give me a lot of opinions, so this time I chose to improve my DA with a classmate and recorded it.(Yuqing,xu)

Because we are also from China, we chose to communicate with Chinese social software. WeChat.

The record here is to show that when we did not understand the network report for the first time, we all made mistakes and did not meet the teacher’s requirements.
Here I am showing my DA account and my promotional content, including my DA content, and hoping she can give some advice.
This is my product showcase, and I hope to show her the latest works she has made and hope she can give me some feedback.

It is worth noting that at this time, she told me that there are some special holidays recently, such as Mother’s Day. We can make some bracelets that fit the festive atmosphere during this special festival for sale and promote traditional Chinese filial piety culture. So, combining her ideas, I created a bracelet that combines Chinese and Australian characteristics in my mind, and received a lot of feedback for promotion and sales on Mother’s Day.

The product for Mother’s Day.
Customer message, asking us how to buy.
The customer’s message asked us to set up a stall again, hoping to purchase and view DA offline.

After that, Yuqing Xu and I have discovered a festival that only Chinese people celebrate, which is May 20th. And we hope to create some bracelets that are suitable for couples through conceptualization, so that customers who purchase them will start from two different sources, and each bracelet will have a new meaning. At the same time, this gimmick can better promote our Chinese style bracelets, making it a perfect collaboration.

After this activity, I made a personal summary of my account and got the experience. I found that there were 2,365 views between my two events, and the total viewing time was more than 4 hours. And the number of customers on my homepage has reached 169. It’s very pleasing to me. Because my audience is Chinese students from Australia, this is a Chinese social software, and it also clearly points out my shortcomings. The comments of my works are increasing rapidly, but the viewing amount of post articles is not significantly improved, so it is necessary to pay attention to the cover of post articles to attract viewers so that more people can watch them.

Data graph of DA account

There have also been changes in the situation of the fans who follow my DA production, because this is a traffic account. I already have a high fan base, even if some may be fake fans, after this period of rectification, there are still 7 new fans, and it is worth noting that there are also 5 fans lost. This also reminds me to pay more attention to everyone’s evaluation, make timely changes and adjustments in order to better promote and improve DA.

Fan status of DA account

Overall, the production and promotion of DA this time was very successful, and I am also very happy to receive the guidance of the tutor and the help of Yuqing Xu. It has allowed my DA to discover new directions and be loved by the public. At the same time, it has laid a solid foundation for me to conduct research on other projects or deeper DA creation in the future. I hope to receive good feedback from the teacher’s evaluation or classmates’ attention in the future, and I am very happy to complete the study of this subject.

BCM112 A3 Contextual report

After the actual promotion and production in the first stage, I decided to make a summary and analysis in the second stage to accurately position my product and analyze the existing problems, and then integrate the integrity of the whole process with the teacher’s opinions, so that everyone can better understand the significance and impact of my DA production.

Combined with the first promotion and sale, we found that an attractive point of view for customers is that in special festivals and special atmosphere, people actually do not care about the meaning and value given by the bracelet itself. On the contrary, they are more concerned about whether the packaging and decoration of the product are in line with their aesthetic taste for jewelry. That is to say, they hope to convert this fun thing into modern fashion jewelry, which also gives us new inspiration. We may open a new track, which is specifically responsible for the promotion and sale of jewelry strings of modern fashion culture.

Here we begin our attempt at a new track. Mother’s Day is a holiday with a unified date worldwide, and it is a great holiday. Mothers play different roles in a family. They give us life, bring warmth to the family, serve as role models for every child, and accompany every child’s growth path. With the opportunity of Mother’s Day, we need to express our gratitude to our mothers and also give each family an opportunity to gather together. Praising a mother’s selfless dedication is also an important festival for supporting her and conveying filial piety culture. In China, filial piety is very important and can also be used as an opportunity to promote traditional Chinese filial piety culture, killing two birds with one stone.

We chose red as the basic color for the appearance of this bracelet, because in China, red represents passionate and strong love, and at the same time, it can also represent the color of blood. It was not easy for our mother to bring us to this world, and then we used white beads as embellishments, representing the white of Australian pearls. Together, we created such a work to praise our mother’s greatness. It also combines the two cultures of China and Australia.

The second festival we have chosen is a very romantic one. Strictly speaking, it is not a traditional festival, but a popular one in recent years. 520, May 20th, in Chinese, the homophonic meaning of 520 is “I Love You”. Many young couples choose to have a romantic date with their partners on this day or choose their favorite gifts to make each other happy. Even many people who are about to enter the marriage hall choose to register for marriage on this day, and getting married on such a romantic day is very happy and joyful. So for this group of people, we have made couple style bracelets, symbolizing the meaning of eternal unity and never separation.

We are very thoughtful for some married families with children to make family style, so that children can also share the romantic atmosphere of mom and dad.

With the progress of the project, the DA I made finally won the attention of my classmates. Although she is also Chinese, she has gained some traffic. She is also very interested in Chinese-style bracelets, and she also wears some Chinese-style bracelets. In her opinion, some of my views and the production of the new track are very attractive to her. She hopes to join the idea of the bracelet concept and help promote it, which is also of great help to the later promotion of my project. As my gratitude to her, I also selected several bracelets suitable for her and gave them to her to express my gratitude. I hope to get everyone’s feedback and support in the new production and promotion in the later stage.

It was time for the release of the last discord. It was very rewarding for me to have new breakthroughs and updates in every step of the project production, promotion and then sale this semester. In the beginning, the Chinese style bracelet was used as a medium to understand or communicate with international students from different countries during their study in Australia. In the later stage, the inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture and the generation of new racetracks gave each bracelet its definition in different countries’ cultures. Finally, according to the meanings of jewelry given by different festivals, the Chinese style bracelet was used as the starting point of my DA this semester. It also laid the foundation for me to promote other products or DA in the later media courses. I hope that in the future, I will have more opportunities to communicate with people in different countries and exchange products with different meanings given by each country, so as to jointly create products suitable for us and draw a satisfactory conclusion for BCM112.

BCM112 Network report

Since the beginning of the project, I have confirmed the latest direction of development. For the purpose of promoting Chinese cultural exchanges and promoting Chinese international students in uow University to quickly understand and help new students quickly integrate into campus life, a DA, Chinese-style bracelet was made for sale. Initially, we chose to go on a field trip to Glebe Markets to observe the enthusiasm of local Australians. From 8:30 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon. Our revenue on the day reached 280 Australian dollars, for the first offline sale preparation and online publicity obviously there are still many shortcomings. For example, we are not very familiar with the meaning of each bracelet and the production of different materials. For us, we only care about its appearance and the method of constructing the bracelet, but we do not pay much attention to its material and the meaning it gives. As a result, several local Australian customers ask us about the meaning of these bracelets, and we make them up temporarily. But it also gave us a sense of caution and allowed us to add new ideas in post-production and analysis.

This week, I made two important points in discord. First, choose local Australian social media platforms to promote our Chinese-style bracelet. Second, giving each bracelet a different meaning enables people from different countries to have a different understanding of each bracelet to promote cultural exchange. We quickly ran into problems, starting with platform selection and promotion. In Australia, we do not have the same number of fans and publicity techniques as in China, so there is no way to get traffic by Posting YouTube or twitter, so this kind of publicity is futile, so we still choose the most frequently used social media platforms in Australia by Chinese people.”
Little red book.” It can at least ensure that the vast majority of Chinese people in Australia can see our information and help us promote and sell. There are also a small number of Australian locals who are interested in Chinese culture will download and browse, which is a better way. For the meaning of the bracelet, we have also carried out different degrees of interpretation.

In the weeks that followed, we made different videos and presentations. So that the audience can watch 360 degrees without dead Angle and appreciate the charm and value of each bracelet. And attached to the Chinese ancient music, so that everyone watching the video can have the experience.

Chinese people’s wishes for the New Year are represented by vibrant energy, favorable weather for the coming year, healthy family, thriving career, and smooth life.(Chinese Red colour)

Green represents health, longevity, environmental protection, and the beauty of nature. At the same time, green is also the representative of Chinese bamboo, symbolizing the hope of human peaceful development!

In the future research direction, it will focus on the customer experience and the wearing effect. As is well known, young people’s requirements for clothing and accessories have become deeply ingrained in people’s hearts, and the direction of fashion is also one of the mainstream trends for bracelets. Therefore, in order to make more people like and buy our bracelets, we have launched an activity. After customers purchase bracelets, we will shoot a set of buyer shows and send them to us. We will return these customers a red envelope of AUD 5 and inform them that we will put these photos on our social media platform for promotion, seek their opinions, and then make modifications. This can satisfy customers and increase the number of follow-up visits, while also allowing our Chinese style bracelets to receive free promotion, which is a win-win situation.

BCM112 Contextual Report

Since the project pitch, I have conducted a deep investigation and research. The main direction is to create an account for Chinese students in Wollongong to promote and sell Chinese-style bracelets. Because our scope is a little too broad for international students who are eager to come from different countries at the University of Wollongong at the beginning, I decided to start with a small part and then gradually develop it to study other people from different countries at a later stage. I am an international student from China, so my first choice is China. The social platform I chose is “Little Red Book”, a brief introduction to the software: “Little Red Book provides a platform for users in Australia to share shopping tips, travel tips and food recommendations. This content has attracted a lot of Australian users, especially those interested in Chinese consumer brands and culture.”

In conjunction with the blog post published in discord, we went to Glebe Markets in Sydney for our first offline sale to physically promote our Chinese culture bracelet. Throughout the day, we found that most Australian locals were very passionate about our bracelet culture and actively asked us about the meaning and cultural connotation of each bracelet. In this day’s sales, we also achieved good results, we got a total of 280 Australian dollars in revenue, and found a pattern. In fact, most local Australians are not particularly interested in bracelets with monotonous colors, but prefer those with lots of accessories. However, for Chinese people, these bracelets with lots of ornaments are flashy, so this is also a difference caused by different cultures.

After that, we posted this activity and content directly on the social platform “Little Red Book”, which unexpectedly received a huge response. Many Chinese people in Australia responded positively to our activity and left a message saying that they were looking forward to seeing us in the market next time and were also very enthusiastic to help us promote this culture. There are even some regular stall owners to share their stall experience and gave a lot of valuable advice. This corresponds to the Digital Engagement and Collective Intelligence we have learned in BCM112 class. A person’s thinking about creation and development is narrow, and the development and process of DA needs the public’s vision and ideas to constantly improve and update. Therefore, only by combining everyone’s opinions can we create the bracelet in the later stage more in line with everyone’s expectations and achieve good sales results. It has also made outstanding contributions to promoting the further development of cultural exchanges between China and Australia.

Similarly, the significance of this activity is also to carry out a relatively exemplary activity for realizing the integration of international students from various countries in Australia into uow University in the future. As far as I know, there are many international students from different countries in every university. Some countries are introverted and reserved, and they are not good at words and do not like to express their own culture. However, in my opinion, it is the most correct decision for everyone to show the unique charm of their own country and have good communication with people from different countries.

BCM112 Pitch

Through the first three weeks of study, I have basically determined my DA. At the very beginning, I hoped to continue the contents of my BCM206 and BCM302 projects and continue to complete them. But this week, my thinking has changed. Because my previous project was to establish a club to enable students who are about to join uow University or want to know about uow University to integrate into the study and life of uow University more quickly, and then create a physical business card with a two-dimensional code on it. You can use your phone to scan a QR code to get an AI assistant to help you solve problems you have in school. This didn’t seem like a challenge to me, so I changed my DA content. I wanted to create a physical object that people from different countries could understand and communicate with each other for a purpose. So I chose a bracelet. Because of the influence of my sister and girlfriend, I also began to understand the culture of bracelets. In fact, each country has a different understanding of the hand string, different styles and different materials represent different meanings, for example, there are religious Buddhism bodhi, there are lucky factors on behalf of the crystal, there are on behalf of health and peace of turquoise, and so on some different bracelets. Therefore, I hope to create a style that includes a Chinese style bracelet and can add other different meanings, so that everyone can have different bracelets and give it different meanings. I went to glebe market for the first time on March 16, 2024. To my surprise, most of the buyers were from different countries, and most of them would ask about the material and meaning of the bracelet. It was a successful attempt.

I will continue to try to understand and sell in the later stage, and gradually expand to online sales and promotion. The choice of streaming platform will be Instagram, which will be of great help to the image and promotion of our product.
