It includes Mechanics, Dynamic and Aesthetics. This framework is a professional game design framework.

According to these three frameworks, the game is divided into four elements, called the quaternion, which proposes: “mechanism, aesthetics, plot and technology.”

The theme and content of the game I analyzed was the game that became popular in China and even the world in the past two years: “Naraka: Bladepoint.”

Story background:

The game tells the story of a fictional fantasy world as the background. The Yin and Yang gods kill each other, causing the world to be in eternal ruin. Players need to play a hero, collect various resources in the map, fight with other players, and survive to the end.The attraction must be the world of martial arts with Chinese characteristics. From the first day of its birth, “Wuxia” has always belonged to the civilian class. In fact, Wuxia ethics is the moral standard used by civil society to regulate interpersonal relations, which is a kind of “love ethics”. Its structure and style have changed with the development of production and living style. Through the study of ancient clothing, we can know the style and features of ancient clothes.

Hero design and team design:

In my opinion, there is an obvious tendency. The popular point is the humanized design of tools. Because the hero does not change the attack mode, I think this design idea is understandable.
Heroes can be divided into two skills: one big skill and one small skill. The big skill needs to be released by accumulating anger, which is mostly functional. The small skill is in the form of CD, which is usually used in the fight. This design is a little like watching the vanguard, which is closer to the RPG idea, and also separates the current hero’s design from the battle design.
The advantage of this is to ensure the experience of core combat, but the disadvantage is that the design tendency of heroes is too obvious and the combination is not close enough.
Especially in the different single row/three row environments, the role of heroes is completely different. For example, Ning Hongye’s big moves in the single row are completely negative, while Canaan seems too weak in the three rows.
However, there will also be some heroes with strong single row and three rows, such as monks, and F and big moves are very strong, which means that other characters are not balanced enough. It must be difficult to continue to expand heroes in the future.
However, the intention of doing so is also obvious, that is, when the core battle is already interesting and complex, it is unnecessary to further refine it with the hero dimension (to the weapons level is enough). Heroes are more designed as a larger strategy level, allowing players to consider the choice of heroes from the team cooperation and overall strategy.
And after all, weapons can be changed in a single board, but heroes can’t, so it’s more likely that players can often use one hero and try more weapons.
